About the festival

We want to make sure you enjoy your experience at TSB Festival of Lights: Winter Pop-Up. Below are some basic details to make sure you are ready for the long weekend of events.

What to expect:

During the Winter Pop-Up, lights are on from 5pm and will be switched off at 10pm between 13 - 16 July 2023 over Matariki long weekend.

Be sure to dress warm and wear suitable footwear to suit an outdoor venue.

A festival map will be available to navigate where light installations and entertainment are located.

Getting to the festival:

Located in New Plymouth's CBD, the Winter Pop-Up can be accessed from various areas.

There will be road closures on Ariki Street from Egmont Street to Currie Street from 4pm - 11pm every night of the Festival. Traffic is expected to be high, so we recommend to carpool, taxi/Uber or be dropped off for an easier experience.

Centre City have been kind enough to provide free parking to festival visitors each night (13 - 16 July) between 5pm - 11pm (all vehicles must be removed prior to this time). Due to road closures Centre City carpark can only be accessed via St Aubyn Street, Level 3 ramp.
