Entertainment
Dude, Where’s My Guitar?
7.30pm – 8.15pm / Hatchery Lawn
Specialising in rock, pop-punk and grunge from the late 90's to the early 2000's, this Taranaki-based band has a setlist of certified bangers which will get you up on your feet and dancing to all the nostalgic hits you remember from the turn of the 21st century. Pull on your three-quarter dickies, lace up your Converse All Stars and dust off your treasured flame-themed bowling shirt – because Dude, Where's My Guitar? are taking you back to the good old days when Nirvana, Blink 182, Green Day and many more fantastic bands ruled the radio waves!
iamaparty
8.05pm – 11.05pm / Fred Parker Lawn
From Cairo to Istanbul, Cuzco to Cambodia, globe-trotting DJ iamaparty’s final leg of his farewell world tour lands at Pukekura Park. This will be special – a recreation of 90’s warehouse rave set against the backdrop of our own beautiful park surrounds - lasers, smoke machines, airhorns and squelchy 303 basslines!!
Marmalade
8.35pm – 9.20pm / Hatchery Lawn
Marmalade is a pair of friends who write music in their living room. Swinging somewhere between clean-pop and indie-rock, Marmalade’s soaring vocals and honest lyricism float above a steady musical backbone to create a juicy jar full of sounds. Music to make your summer even sunnier.
Carnivorous Plant Society
9.40pm – 10.40pm / Hatchery Lawn
Carnivorous Plant Society is a musical experience set with live animations. The talented quintet of five of New Zealand's most accomplished musicians perform their original compositions that ignite the imaginations of both children and adults alike. Mexican mariachi mixes with spaghetti western; futuristic sci-fi blends with bizarre, spine-chilling nuances drawn from Stephen King novels.
Flamingo Pier (DJ set)
11pm – 12.15am / Hatchery Lawn
Born and raised in New Zealand but schooled in London, Flamingo Pier may well be the southern hemisphere’s best kept secret. Flamingo Pier are Luke Walker (the DJ), Dom Jones and Brad Craig (the musical chops), a rather perfect combo that you can hear in their music, with its electronic heft weighted lightly with tropical sounds atop, influences pouring in from all directions: Masters At Work, Khruangbin, Prince, Ron Trent.
Wet-weather alternative venue: The Mayfair – 69 Devon Street West, New Plymouth
Please check our social media in case of wet weather. We will confirm if the venue changes on the day of the event after 5pm.
